England rocks!

This past weekend was amazing! We went to the Skipton Castle, Bolton Abbey, and Knaresborough. It was so much fun. All three of the places were only 20-30 minutes from where we live. Below I have posted the pictures from our Bolton Abbey experience. Prepare yourself for a lot of aweomeness! The Bolton Abbey Estate covers 30,000 acres of Yorkshire countryside including woods, rivers, waterfalls, hills, wild flowers, animals, and so much more beauty I can't even describe it all. We checked out the Bolton Priory, a really neat monastery built in the 12th century. Two restorations in the 19th and 20th century have taken place since then. The remaining portion of the church still hold services for the local community each Sunday. The monastery has a lot of really cool history. If you want to read more about it you can go to: http://www.boltonabbey.com We also did a lot of exploring and hiking around, my sore body can testify. As you will see from the pictures, it was an unforgettable place! The weather has been... well, not sunny California. It's probably on average in the 50s and the wind makes it really bad too. I got wind burn on my face from the first couple days here. However, so far we have managed to escape the rain which is a miracle that I am very grateful for! :) I think I can sacrifice handling the cold in trade for the amazing things we are getting to see. It's definitely worth it. I will probably post the pictures from the Skipton Castle and Knaresborough in the next couple days. I have to spread it out so as to not overwhelm you guys with a million pictures all at once! Anyways, thanks for reading and hope you are doing well! We miss and love you all!
